Tariffing - classification of the product
The international movement of goods is subject to customs control across national boundaries and across community of states. In order to ensure a proper and uniform handling of the movement of goods a wide range of products is listed in a systematic structured index of goods. The classification of the product/ tariffing is achieved by an encryption of the goods listed in the index. Thereby is a differentiation of customs tariff numbers for Export and customs tariff numbers for Import.
Worldwide there are many indexes of goods existing. The Enterprise Data Center supplies the different tariff numbers for import and export together with the relating tariff rates.
